wait a second..

Really excellent work on both this and the bridge scene. The attention to detail in eyelid movement really solidifies this - but the way his mouth and ears move is mesmerizing.
Stoked to see what all of this is leading up to!

ArtOfAlexH responds:

Thanks, I'm really glad you like it :)

That's insane! Congratulations!
Dan Hipp's characters will be amazing to work with, and you'll do great.

CuteNikeChan responds:

thank you!

This looks like someone designed by Jamie Hewlett!

For something so minimalistic, there are a lot of well placed details. Rugged, salacious, and combative - but charming.

DampOwl responds:

You have no idea how honored I am to hear this comparison, Hewll is one of my all-time favourites and a massive point of inspiration for me. I'm beyond flattered that someone would associate my work with his.

Thanks for this! You just made my day.

Smoking is comforting!
But tea and art are better.

As always, I love the layers of character. Everything is on purpose, and it all tells me a little bit more.

The color scheme is relaxing but melancholy.

melsnoodles responds:

Can definitely do with tea and art!

I always feel like I'm shouting into the void when vent art is done. Your comment made me feel SO relieved and cosy, knowin I'm expressing some of the stuff inside has huge healing power. Thank you so much <3

Ha, I love it. The ragged details and vivacious personality really shine through, and the little things bring this character to life: The band-aids, the branch, the missing tooth, the bandage, the weight on the able foot, the broken 2x4s of the fence, the stretched shirt, and even the elongated middle toe. The violet nose makes it clear that she likely isn't quite our form of human, which is appreciated for the sake of my imagination.

I've never been into allowing the eye-lines to show through hair, but that's a personal preference.

Great character design! I'm always glad to be following your work.

melsnoodles responds:

Oh gosh, this is such a lovely comment!! Thank you so much!
this character originally had a simpler design that I'm more fond of, but I'm glad all the changes for this pic actually make it shine so much! it was a great exercise to capture her vibes I think, you certainly made me feel it was super worth it!!

thanks for the continuous support yoo! very much appreciated <333

One of my favorite movies. Inside out, it's so well done.
Excellent work! The coloring and composition are very nice. Some food elements would have been cool, and I'm not sure how I feel about the choice of rough linework and out of the box coloring in a few spots (plus perhaps a bit of extra lighting on them, to make it pop?), but this brings back a lot of memories. It's pleasant to imagine their future together.

melsnoodles responds:

You're absolutely right!! I'll keep it in mind next time I work with this style, thank you for the kind words! <3 It always makes me happy when people have nice things to say about cloudy. The whole film and specially the dynamic of these two makes me super happy!

Awh. Look at the glean in his big brown eyes. His rosy cheek. His... Anatomically confusing forehead.
I really like the values in this, and everything is super purposeful and specific.
Send this to his mom.

BoMToons responds:

Ha ha, Worf has the best forehead ridge pattern tho!

It's all in your head.
