Smoking is comforting!
But tea and art are better.

As always, I love the layers of character. Everything is on purpose, and it all tells me a little bit more.

The color scheme is relaxing but melancholy.

melsnoodles responds:

Can definitely do with tea and art!

I always feel like I'm shouting into the void when vent art is done. Your comment made me feel SO relieved and cosy, knowin I'm expressing some of the stuff inside has huge healing power. Thank you so much <3

Ha, I love it. The ragged details and vivacious personality really shine through, and the little things bring this character to life: The band-aids, the branch, the missing tooth, the bandage, the weight on the able foot, the broken 2x4s of the fence, the stretched shirt, and even the elongated middle toe. The violet nose makes it clear that she likely isn't quite our form of human, which is appreciated for the sake of my imagination.

I've never been into allowing the eye-lines to show through hair, but that's a personal preference.

Great character design! I'm always glad to be following your work.

melsnoodles responds:

Oh gosh, this is such a lovely comment!! Thank you so much!
this character originally had a simpler design that I'm more fond of, but I'm glad all the changes for this pic actually make it shine so much! it was a great exercise to capture her vibes I think, you certainly made me feel it was super worth it!!

thanks for the continuous support yoo! very much appreciated <333

One of my favorite movies. Inside out, it's so well done.
Excellent work! The coloring and composition are very nice. Some food elements would have been cool, and I'm not sure how I feel about the choice of rough linework and out of the box coloring in a few spots (plus perhaps a bit of extra lighting on them, to make it pop?), but this brings back a lot of memories. It's pleasant to imagine their future together.

melsnoodles responds:

You're absolutely right!! I'll keep it in mind next time I work with this style, thank you for the kind words! <3 It always makes me happy when people have nice things to say about cloudy. The whole film and specially the dynamic of these two makes me super happy!

Awh. Look at the glean in his big brown eyes. His rosy cheek. His... Anatomically confusing forehead.
I really like the values in this, and everything is super purposeful and specific.
Send this to his mom.

BoMToons responds:

Ha ha, Worf has the best forehead ridge pattern tho!

I'm in love with the elegant political commentary regarding carrots on unicorns. Only so often do I see that here. It really got me thinking.

Sockembop responds:

I'm glad you picked up on the political statement about carrots on unicorns. I was worried people would miss that.

I'd never pick on a dude like that.
Sick work like always!

God I'm excited for this.
My only real criticism is that the sabers should be thicker; fairly comparable to the size of the hilt. Maybe more texture for the mask, too.

Kel-chan responds:

Yup problem solved! These pictures are made with a different rendering engine which makes pretty pictures but is too much for my computer to handle so theres another program i'm using to make the actual animation. It's slightly less pretty but it fixes the LS blades so they're nice and fat and glow

These are looking sick!
Mind sharing what the project is all about?

Kel-chan responds:

Its a test project- I'm going to make a short trailer to see the response, learn the workflow of these programs and what's possible and what's not given my hardware. Depending on if people are interested or not I'll continue it. If its good, I might have ask your help for some voices for Senna's Jedi Master

What?

Dude, this is the worst game ever. I mean, none of the controls even work, and I'm pretty sure the final boss has a dildo up his arse.
But the art was great, so I guess I'll give you a ten.
All I'm saying is, you could have put a little more effort into the coding.
Wait, what's an Art Submission?

I feel bad for a pointless review now, but the concept of erasing seems like too backwards a direction, so I think I'll actually try to assess the art.
On second thought, this is pretty much perfect for what it aimed for. The characters are easily recognizable, despite the wonderful adaptation into this concept. The lighting is fantastic, the concept is fantastic, the shading is fantastic... altogether, I really, really like this.
Though, the horn/spike coming out of Satan's left wing sort of looks like an ingrown toenail. Maybe it is. Poor Satan - I bet that'll be a bitch to remove!
I've already forgotten what I wrote. I sure hope it wasn't offensive.
